ACPS affiliates receive benefits such as:
- Priority access to ACPS sponsored courses an continuing professional development
- Access to scheduled medicines training.
- Assist Fellows of the ACPS at operations*.
- Access to affiliate members area
- Membership Certificate
*Those candidates seeking to assist Fellows of the ACPS must also complete the ACPS BSSET course
Affiliates can be podiatrists or other health practitioners with an interest in foot and ankle pathology. In addition, other non-health practitioners may be considered for affiliate membership, as the selection committee consider appropriate. Affiliates are non-voting members of the ACPS.
Membership is valid for one year and must be renewed annually. The membership year begins 1 January and ends 31 December of each year. The annual membership fee for the ACPS Affiliate Membership is $334.00 (AUD).
Selection and Training
All potential candidates for the ACPS Training Program must obtain a basic familiarity with the ACPS and its work, including making contact with podiatric surgeons in order to gain an appreciation of the role and work of a podiatric surgeon. Affiliate membership with the ACPS is a requirement for “Application for Registration for a Training Position”.
